Hundred and Thirteen

Melina found herself in a surreal setting with shadows dancing around her. Suddenly, Dwayne materialized before her, his eyes reflecting a storm of emotions.

Dwayne pointing his finger accusingly at Melina "why did you lie about your sight? How could you deceive me like that?"

Melina, feeling a surge of guilt and vulnerability, stammered in response "Dwayne, I... I didn't want to hurt you. I thought... I thought it was the right thing to do."

Dwayne responded angrily"The right thing? You kept such a crucial truth from me. How am I supposed to trust you now?"

Melina's eyes welling up with tears, struggled to find the right words "Dwayne, please understand. I was scared. Scared of losing you, scared of how you'd react."

Dwayne's anger only intensified "Trust is the foundation of any relationship, Melina. You've shaken that foundation"

Melina's eyes snapped open with the remnants of the dream still haunting her thoughts. The room around her seemed to close in every second.
