Seventy One

DWAYNE POV

Moonlight drifted through the blinds, dilating the cerulean blue of my curtains, casting blue shadows across my eyes. It was a full moon tonight. The sounds of music playing and pup giggles show everyone was still having a good time at the party.

Pacing back and forth in the office, I realized how hurt Melina was. My wolf Zirus has been whining to see mate. I didn't know why she was not getting the fact that she must be okay. She had to be okay for me to function properly. I had to function properly for the pack, too. Because if anything happened to her, it would affect me. So she had to understand that.

I really needed a drink. Eyeing the steaming cup of coffee, I picked it up, about to drink it, but my mind immediately drifted back to Melina. She hasn't eaten anything. I dropped the cup on the table and then left for the room.

I left the office, heading straight to my room, hoping that Melina would listen to me.

I knocked twice, No answer. I also called her name there
