Thirty Five

Melina's POV

As I watched Alpha Rick leave the cell, worry and anger filled me. How could he do this to me? How could he help that evil Gamma called Barbara to take away my position as Luna? I couldn't believe it and I was beyond pissed.

I felt the need to pray to the Moon Goddess for help, to guide me through this dark time because I was losing my mind.

As I closed my eyes and prayed, a voice suddenly spoke to me from nowhere. It was calm, soothing, and yet commanding. "Melina, stand up and get yourself out of here immediately."

I opened my eyes. I was confused, wondering if I was truly losing my mind, but my wolf nudged me, urging me to move. Without thinking, I got up, my heart pounding in my chest.

I closed my eyes again, praying one more time to the Moon Goddess, then I tried to perform some magic. But nothing happened.

I tried again and again, my frustration growing. But still, the magic refused to work.

I felt defeated and sat down, with tears streaming down my face.
