On the other hand, Jade was on his way to work when his phone started ringing.
He picked it up to listen to Lucas's voice.
"Hey, did you see today's paper?"
"My breakfast meeting just ended. I'm on my way to work right now. Why? Did grandpa say something again?" He adjusted his earpiece to hear him properly.
"No, the chairman isn't the issue right now. Wait, you're driving right now, right? Just read it when you get to work." Lucas cut the call and threw his phone on his desk.
Things were getting too hot as it is. As if they hadn't had enough with the issues on ground. Someone must have definitely reported the false new and now it's causing more problem. Lucas thought as he took off his reading glasses and sipped the beads of sweat forming in the lines of his forehead.
He grabbed the newspaper on his table again, to read.
