Chapter 56: Mixed Feelings
In an instant, he took his phone and scrolled through it for a while. About to dial Sapphire's number, he stopped in between, to the tightness in his muscles.
'She might not pick my call or she might be probably busy with something else. I don't want to disturb her. Maybe I should just work these worries, off my head.' Jade pondered as he took the next turn to the direction of his hotel.
Full of seriousness, the CEO walked into his hotel. Meanwhile, Ace just had a meeting with some guests as they met each other. Jade wanted to walk away as he has a lot going on in his mind but Ace stopped him, midway.
"You look pissed. Is everything alright?" Ace asked in concern.
As if Ace was crossing the line this time, Jade gave him an eyeful glare like a lion whose tail is being stepped on.
With this, Jade walked away but Ace broke into a deceitful laughter that made Jade halt at the moment.
