Amber Pov

Phil's face was dark and angry when I saw him. He quickly walk closer to us and roughly removed Melvin's hand that was holding one of my arms and then pulled me away from him.

"What are you doing here in the dark part of the parking lot, Amber?" he asked me with sharp eyes. He seems to think that Melvin and I are doing something inappropriate so we are here in the dark part of the parking lot.

"With due respect, Sir Salvatore. Our working hours are over, so you don't care what Amber and I do after work," Melvin boldly spoke to Phil. "Aren't you, Amber?"

I couldn't believe what Melvin said. Although what he said was true but it seemed that he wanted to convey a message to Phil. And what he said seemed to confirm Phil's bad thoughts about us.

I don't know where Melvin gets the confidence to think that I like him. Or maybe he's just really thick-faced so he didn't pay attention to what I said that I didn't like him. That I only consider him as a friend. But if he keeps on
