CHAPTER THIRTY NINE

Stephany was startled by his sudden emergence. She didn’t know he would be joining her that quickly.

His voice gentle with the cold breeze brushing through her hair.

He wrapped his left arm around her neck. Her body trembled slightly at the cold touch from his cold arm.

His right hand raffled her hair and he leaned his chin on her head.

"Your body is hot," He said.

Stephany lifted her right hand and touched his arm that was wrapped around her neck.

"And yours is ice cold. How long have you been standing out here?"

Stephany countered with a question of her own.

"Not long. I guess I am just cold,"

"That's your answer?"

"Mmh!"

Stephany did not probe further. But, she furrowed her brows deeper as she seemed to be thinking deeply.

Silence swept between them.

"What's-" the both of them started all at once. Their abrupt meet in speech brought a chuckle from both of them.

"You first" They blurted together once again.
