Alpha Kade halted in front of me, his eyes penetrating, and I bowed my head respectfully. Helena did the same thing, standing silently by my side.
"Lyra, raise your head," Alpha Kade instructed. I complied, meeting his gaze with a mixture of respect and curiosity.
