We settled into Helena's cabin, the air thick with anticipation, I couldn't help but feel a knot forming in the pit of my stomach. We were finally going to confront Helena about the truth, and I braced myself for whatever revelations awaited us.

I could smell the scent of lemon, a sweet fragrance that gave me memories of the past. Helena hadn't changed a bit, at least not in the way her house looked.

The way she fixed each item in place reminded me of how composed she could be, maybe that was why she could keep whatever she was going to tell us now to herself for so many years.
