Chapter Twenty Seven

As we walked inside I noticed everything was made of white marble. The floors, the large columns lining the whole entrance and then the marble staircase that spiraled up to all the floors that I could see. This seemed to be the complete center, the heart of the castle. I didn't see any throne like I seen with my parents castle. It seemed like this was the middle of the whole and everything could be seen from here at the bottom all the way up to the very top floor. It was something to behold, but man just thinking of walking all the way up those stairs just seemed exhausting to me and I'm not even in bad shape. 

Laughing Dimitri said. "Love, you do realize that you don't have to walk all those stairs? We have wings and can go wherever we want with little effort."

Oh yeah. Buuut..."Lest you forget that I can't pop my wings out yet like you can."
