"Mmmm, morning, my love" Damon muttered when he felt Clary moving around in the cage of his arms. He tightened his arms around his mate as the sunlight stabbed at his eyelids where he kept them shut, not wanting to face the day. He brushed his fingers across his silent mate's stomach. "Are you okay, love?" he asked when Clary didn't say anything.

"Yeah, just thinking" Clary whispered as she turned over to press herself to her mate. She wondered if she should say something. She'd been awake a little while, visions and scenarios running through her head. She looked at the happy smile on Damon face, pressing her lips to her Alphas closed eyelids. She looked happy, seemingly unaware of what had her lying there in silence. She tried to squash the happy, excited feelings down, not wanting to get her mate's hopes up.

"What is it, sweetheart?" Damon asked when he opened one eye to look at his mate. The look on her face had his eyes springing open he saw the small smile on his Omegas face. A
