After leaving Dede’s house, I went and saw my mother. My sister Amy and my brother Aaron were already with her. She was starting to look better already. My mother was also as high as a kite from all her pain medicine. Needless to say, I did not stay long. I swung by to bring Shane and Pearl some sandwiches that I picked up for them from the local deli, and to get Pearls house key so I could pick some more clothes up for the kids. I stayed with them while they ate than headed to Ruby’s house. She was not there, so I figured I would just deal with her later. Then I went to the nearest department store. I needed to buy a lot of groceries since I had way more mouths to feed than usual.
