Natasha:

I reached into my pocket and pulled out my cell phone. I turned on the screen praying to God Ruby could not see the light from it through the keyhole. I quickly put it on silence without vibration. I sent an urgent text to Tony saying, “I did not make it out in time. Do not worry, she did not catch me. I am currently hiding in a big oak chest. Text me when she leaves the building again.”

Tony responded as quick as lightning. “Jesus Tash, that is not what I meant by get out of there. If she does not leave within twenty minutes, I will set the fire alarm off forcing her out.” I simply said okay and put my phone screen side up on my lap so I could see when the next text came through. I peaked out of the keyhole watching Ruby’s every move.
