“Hey, you’re leaving? But she’s in there. Playing games with Asher and a group of his friends…speaking of which…Ria’s also been avoiding her too. Know what’s up?”

Not sure if it’s alright to tell him but I do anyway. “Ria likes Asher so she’s still mad at Heather. I’ll just quietly leave and try again some other time”.

And before he can rain down his barrage of questions on me, I sprint off.

What the heck am I doing?! I’m so close to her and yet I…can’t believe I’ve depleted into such a coward. I take shelter between the trees, resting my back against a tree as I scold myself. That’s when I pick up voices and her scent hits my nose hard, forcing a sneeze out of me.

“So…” His voice drags, “…what is it you wanna give me?”

I push off the tree and trace the voices and hide when i see his back. Trying to adjust my vision so i can see her clearer which is at the risk of my wolf jumping out.
