His presence begins to fade from his departure as my mate gets closer, still bickering until she’s in front of me and panting. “Were you really…talking…about me?”

I hum, “I was told to treasure you and keep you safe. Having a powerful mate such as I am, your happiness is surely assured”. Deciding to tease her, it works the magic and keeps her shut, most likely blushing like crazy to my amusement.

‘Sheryl’ My wolf echoes in my mind and I know she hears it as she sucks in a breath. “Um…was that your wolf just now?”

I hum again, “He wants you to shift, now”. She gasps at my straightforwardness and I whistle away innocently. Might as well pour the turmoil in my chest on someone else.

“You don’t have to be shy, to make it even, I’ll shift too. We haven’t given our wolves enough time to bond properly. So, you’ll fulfil my wish yeah?” I put on a pouty tone, knowing it will easily get to her and she hums.

“I’ll be back” The meekness in her voice though, so alluring. It’s still amazing to have
