Henry's POV

Searching, leaving no place unturned. And yet… we’re not close enough to finding her.

The wolves at the bastard’s Pack have no idea about their Alpha’s whereabouts and so we’re stuck at a dead end after four days of unrelenting search.

“Curse this!” I yell into the cold night air and pick up low footsteps approaching.

I listen on, still very caught up in my rage as I realize whoever it is, is in a hurry. A run from danger. Panting and very hurt from the whiff of blood scent traces in the air. I wait in the dark and a figure stumbles out.

Immediately, I seize them by the neck, pulling into the light to see a man. A wolf.

I bare my teeth at him, tightening my grip around his neck. “Explain why you have my mate’s scent on you!”

“Alpha Henry, wait!”

Someone pulls us apart and I see Delano. Nyx helps the gasping wolf and urges him to speak.
