“Papa,” Ava mumbled, hitting me on my head.

“Ava, it’s too early for this.” I lifted my eight months old daughter up and kissed her head. “Where is your mum?” I asked as if she was going to answer.

I heard the tap running from the bathroom. “I see your mum is taking her bath, should we go and make some food?” I threw her up in the air and she giggled heartily. The tap stopped running and I heard Athena dip herself into the bathtub filled with water.

“You are going to be a great cook like me, I will teach you all about cooking so you won’t be like your mom.” I said loud enough for Athena to hear.

“I heard that Papa.” Athena yelled from the bathroom. “You ate my food without complaining to me for two months.”

“You made it with love, baby, I had to eat it.” I chuckled.

“I don't want to hear you, please speak to your daughter alone,” She yelled again and I could picture her pouting in my head.
