I opened my eyes, pangs of pain rushed into my head, I groaned out in pain.

“Are you okay?” Sarah came to me. The makeup on her face had washed off from her crying. I sat up real quick as I remembered that Artemis and Ava were still missing.

My father-in-law was sitting down on the chair beside my bed and Apollo was sitting close to him. He looked worried but he didn’t say a word.

Seeing that my own family members weren't here, Luke did a good job containing the whole situation. The press doesn’t know about it yet. Artemis’s image too was at stake.

“I am good ma’am.” I looked around for Athena. “Where is Athena?”

“Layla led us here, assuring us that the police were on the lookout for Artemis and Ava. When we got here, Athena wasn’t here anymore.”
