Chapter 5

The two rogue men approached Corvina and me. Then suddenly, another rogue appeared from behind the bushes. Me and Corvina holding hands, they're standing around us, and their faces are scary.

"They're the omegas from the River Circle Pack!" cried an elderly woman, her hair almost entirely white, pointing at Corvina and me.

"I forgot to take this uniform off," Corvina spoke in hushed tones. I let out a sigh. "I also forgot." We moved quickly away from the passageway wall. Friska must know about the group of rogues surrounding us now.

"Take them."

"We are not omegas nor members of the River Circle Pack," Corvina screamed, but the rogues didn't believe her. They roughly pulled our hands and led us to their place.

"I am the Alpha rogue of this group." A man wearing a suit stands in front of Corvina and me, sitting on the ground. His yellow eyes studied us; then he nodded his head. I have a bad feeling.

"They are omega. So they are useful for us," said an elderly woman, her hair almost white.

"Right. We need them." The alpha rogue agrees with the opinions of his members.

"Are you hostage us?" Corvina yelled. She is fearless.

"You two have entered our territory. You must work for us for two months!" The alpha rogue said firmly.

"We don't know if this forest is your territory. We don't see any signs in this forest." Corvina glared at the Alpha rogue.

Gosh. Looks like Corvina has ten lives. Does she also dare to fight Alpha Eric?

I held my breath, and my heart skipped a beat as the Alpha rogue grabbed Corvina's chin. If that Alpha rogue kills Corvina, I'll be alone with the rogues for two months. I hope that Alpha rogue doesn't do anything bad to Corvina.

"You should know this forest is our territory. This forest is about 200 meters away from your pack." The alpha rogue growled.

"We're not from the River Circle Pack!" Corvina looked frustrated.

"Noisy! If you're not from the River Circle Pack, why are you two wearing omega uniforms?" Alpha rogue glared at us.

Corvina and I couldn't answer. We can't possibly say that we're Alpha Eric's prisoners. They will surely lead us to Alpha Eric.

I don't know how many rogue groups there are now. A year ago, there were twenty-three groups; maybe their number has increased or decreased in a year. Each rogue group claims the forest, and we werewolves must be able to find the markers or detect where they live.

The rogue group that forced Corvina and me to work for them had thirty members. Ten people are women. They often receive job offers from a pack that will war to pretend to be warriors.

"You really can't cook and don't know the ingredients?" A young woman wearing hot pants was standing beside me washing clothes. During this one week, she has asked this question ten times.

"Yeah. Why would I lie? Cooking is easier than doing laundry and dishes." I said. I took a look at the two buckets of filthy clothes. I'm exhausted and fear that my body will collapse at any moment.

"You're right. We're glad you two are entering our territory. It's helped us a lot." The woman leaves.

I looked at the clothes I had washed. I regret not learning to cook. Because I couldn't cook, I was assigned to do the laundry and wash the dishes.

During this one week, I had to endure nausea and disgust. So far, I've only washed my underwear and bras. Now I have to wash the women's underwear and bras, and also the men's underwear!

I have bad luck.

But I'd rather work washing clothes and dishes than be a sex slave. Alpha Eric must be looking for Corvina and me. He won't be able to find Corvina and me because we aren't his mates and have never left the forest.

Friska. I remember that Omega. I hope no one knows she has helped me and Corvina escape from there. I don't regret trusting her.

"Only two months. I can definitely hold on!" I cheer myself up. I straightened my aching back. "Can they help me?" My spirits dropped when I saw two buckets of dirty clothes again. "I've been washing for an hour. Why isn't the bucket empty?"

My wolf laughed. 'Cheer up, Lavanya. You can do it!'

I took a deep breath. Luckily, I don't do laundry every day; if I did, my hands would fall off, and my back would break.

'You are too much.' My wolf shook her head.

My wolf and I planned to escape from Alpha Eric after the two months I was there because I didn't want to be his sex slave. Now that we've managed to get away, Corvina and I had bad luck and were forced to work by the rogues.

I don't know the name of their group and the name of this forest. Corvina and I don't dare fight them because they are terrible rogues. They are used to killing, and the strength of our wolves is very different.

"Dad!" Two boys ran to their father. Twenty rogue men returned home with big smiles, having arrived safely after working pretending to be pack warriors. I don't know which pack is at war. Every month, there are always packs that go to war for various reasons.

The women throw a party to welcome the men. Corvina and I did not sit with them because we preferred to sleep in a hut that served as our bedroom. This hut is made of wood with a plastic roof, and we had to share a bed.

"They put us in a very unfit bedroom." Every day Corvina always complains about this hut.

I stared at the ceiling, which was made of plastic. "Lucky it didn't rain."

"If it rains, we'll drown," said Corvina. "They built them a nice house, but they gave us such a bad bedroom! It's not fair. We've worked for them. Do they think we don't require a comfortable bed?"

I closed my eyes. Every night before I go to bed, I hear Corvina complain about this hut, how tired she is, and how frustrated she is that she can't fight back.

"Three months of being there, I wanted to kill myself."

I turned my head towards Corvina, who was sleeping next to me. Corvina stared at the plastic roof. We never talked about being sex slaves to that crazy Alpha. I'd rather call him crazy Alpha than his real name.

"I always wanted to kill myself. I asked Friska to bring a knife and scissors when she came to my room, but she never did." Corvina chuckled. Her laugh sounded painful. "I'm glad that we could flee, even though we are now held captive by rogues. They only force us to work, but they never abuse us."

We are two women who have nearly given up on life. We are so sad.

"I also often want to kill myself, but I can't find a knife, scissors, or rope. I'm annoyed because the plates and glasses are made of plastic." I smiled sadly. My heart is like being pricked by thousands of needles. My eyes are still unable to produce tears.

We're drowning in our thoughts. The rogues were singing and laughing together. This hut was about ten meters away from where the rogues had gathered.

Suddenly I miss my dad and big brother. I think I know why they didn't find me yet. Could it be that my pack and that crazy Alpha pack are enemies?

My heart beats like a drum as the sweet aroma fills my sense of smell. This fragrance does not smell like grilled meat. I have never smelled it.

'Mate! I believe this sweet scent is our mate's scent! Quickly find him, Lavanya. He is close to us.' I was dizzy, hearing my wolf screams echoing in my head.

I believe in my wolf.

I came out of the hut. I ignored Corvina calling me and asking where I was going. I quickly walked, following my instincts to find someone with this scent.

I stopped walking. Several werewolves came to this group. Alpha rogue is talking to a man wearing a brown coat. Then the werewolf man turned to me, my eyes meeting his gray ones.

I smell Alpha's scent so strongly that I suspect the gray-eyed man is Alpha from a werewolf pack.

The gray-eyed man approached me; his gray eyes locked on my eyes ones. When the man stood in front of me, my body froze, my pupils dilated, and my heart beat three times faster.

"Hello, my mate."
