Oliver was a surprise, but come on, the author foreshadowed it back in book 1 with the twins. And Lil has Wade, plus she was a red herring for the readers. She is going to be the gamma for Sky, IMO. And I get it that each chapter seems like is dragging, or drivel, but it's not when read in sequence.

I think it was an attempt to be unpredictable a while back it was pointed out by a few that the mating thus far was pretty predictable the Oliver thing was an attempt to remedy that as there really wasn't anyone else to mate him to other than lil at this point.

I feel like she added Oliver because Sky has to be super abnormal and there are other books with twin alphas so she had to make it even more different. I’m not a fan of Oliver as a mate. I like their Gamma/luna relationship.

this is getting really bad author should have ended it long ago and never should of added Oliver to the mix it feels to forced and like the author is scrambling to make it work I really hope it is over soon I'm too invested monetarily to not finish it but it sucks every new chap is just drivel.

There are two versions of this book, I discovered. One are all sequenced chapters, and the other breaks down into three books, this being the last book. Also I had a similar with this book where the chapter were locked. It was how I discovered the two versions. Hope that helps.

I hope that it is just everyone is in bed sleeping or chilling at the packhouse waiting on Sky and her mates. Elena and Gentry probably figured out it was something that Sky and the guys would have to figure out on their own how to get out of.
