Chapter 40 - One true love.

They reach the apartment at about one in the morning.

"Ahh! So tiring!" Nathan jumped onto the bed as they arrived.

"Want me to prepare the bathtub for you?" She asked unintentionally. But he grabbed her quickly and laid her on the bed.

"Will you join me?!" He teased her again.

"Nathan, stop it! We're just gone out of the hospital! We are untidy, look." She refused.

"I don't care!" He insists, kissing her passionately.

She can never resist him as she answers it back. But then suddenly, he stopped and just stared at her with an inch of space between their faces.

"What?!" She was puzzled while touching his face.

"Do you trust me now?" He asked sincerely.

"I already told you that I trusted you, right?"

"Can you live without me?" He asked solemnly.

"Hey, what's this again, Nathan?" She tried to push him.

"Answer me!" But he persisted, eager to know her answer.

"I can't." She cried, touching his lips with hers again. "I can't live without you, Nathan." She completed deep into him.
