"Eric," Cassandra screamed when Eric was slapped by Matilda. She didn't expect that her aunt would immediately slap Eric without asking for a clear explanation.

Eric didn't budge. He remained standing in front of Matilda because the woman had not forgiven him. He deserved that one slap because his actions had gone too far.

"Mom," Cassandra called Matilda, but Matilda raised her hand, giving Cassandra a code not to interfere.

"Don't think that because you are rich you can insult us. We are poor in wealth, but we are not morally poor as you accuse us of. Do you think that with your wealth you can hurt us at will and then easily apologize?" Matilda glared sharply at Eric, who was still frozen in front of her.
