Sebastian lays down there for what feels like hours with his mind disoriented and hazy, not being able to pinpoint where he is and why he is here. Blinking away the mountain of tears, he shakes his head in a desperate attempt to shake away the delirium and get back on his feet. "Hey, dude. Are you alright there?" Someone asks him but he is far out of reach to react to the question and answer. He keeps staring at the ceiling with his mind blank and eyes unblinking. Trying his utmost best to get rid of the blankness, he shakes his head again but this time with a sense of urgency, almost hitting his head hard against the concrete ground. "Hey, hey, easy there." The unidentified voice speaks up again in a tone as if he were talking to a toddler. Sebastian asks himself if he was acting like one. Not paying any attention to the unnamed boy, he tries to get up quickly, finally remembering bits of what took place earlier. As he tries to move his uncooperative limbs, his head spins with di
"You should have taken him to the nurse's office instead of the hospital." Killian narrows his eyes as the principal, who is his uncle as well, scolds him. "Did you even see him?" Killian questions, anger rising through his veins. Sebastian's face is almost unrecognisable. Anyone can tell that he got ambushed and beaten severely. He can't understand why the principal is talking like that. He should be concerned for his students, not annoyed when one gets hurt on the school grounds. "I saw." His uncle admits, " But you blew it out of proportion. Our school's reputation will be at stake if the news gets out." The man explains to him in a worried tone, unaware of the seething anger of his nephew. There's a lot of things Killian wants to say and do. But he needs to restrain his urges. He reminds himself that the man standing in front of him is the same man who took care of him and his sister while his own father was busy drowning himself in guilt and work. However, he never imagined h
Sebastian dares to look up and meet Killian's hard to describe eyes. Despite his efforts, he can't seem to read Killian. He looks bothered. Sebastian takes his gaze down quickly, being unable to hold Killian's intense one. But for the first time, he couldn't do so because he felt guilty. He knows Killian is worried about him but he can't offer any answers. Not that he doesn't want to. He just can't. "It's nothing." Sebastian mumbles slowly, keeping his head down, fingers playing with a blanket over his lower half. "Was it Joseph?" Sebastian pales at the mention of the name and Killian notices the change in his demeanour. "Please, Killian." Sebastian pleads, lifting up his head to face the boy, eyes glossy with unshed tears. " I can handle it." He insists. Killian takes a huff of air, showing his disappointment but he doesn't press the matter. Sebastian looks like he is ready to throw a crying fit again and this is something Killian would like to avoid. By now he has realised that
The next two weeks went in blurr for Sebastian. He wished he didn't have to be in constant worry but he was stuck dealing with bone crushing fear. There wasn't even a single minute when he didn't think about Liam approaching him out of nowhere to ruin his already shattered life. It's safe to say, he has been on the edge lately. But it wasn't completely bad. His mother came around. She didn't shy away from assuring him that Liam won't be able to harm him in any way this time around. To seek comfort and run away from the fear, he believed her and it was a good decision. Now, he is not as afraid as he was 2 weeks ago. It was obvious that she kept him in the dark regarding certain matters but she was showing affection which was once her prominent nature towards him. However, she seemed to mask her caring nature in front of his father and that gave birth to new suspicions to speculate. He thought his father was an affectionate husband but now he has started to question that too. It's been
Sebastian is happy. Finally he feels like a free soul without the weight of fear dragging him down. His mother just came back from visiting their old town and meeting with Liam's father who is a very powerful figure there. His mother has assured that Liam won't be able to come here anytime soon. He also hasn't seen anyone else bothering him in school. With having his guards high up, he has been extra cautious the past few days. Now with his mother's assurance, he is feeling like a newborn; ignorant to the suffering and danger of the world. Right now he is stuck in the library with Oliver who is proving to be a thick head when it comes to chemistry. He promised Oliver a few weeks ago that he would help him out with the subject as Oliver is doing miserable at it. But now he understands the reason. That boy doesn't even have basic ideas about Chemistry. "I need to tell you something." Oliver mutters, closing his textbook which he was ogling for a few minutes as if it were enough to hel
Killian blankly looks at his phone before picking it up, guilt spreading through his chest. He has been trying to talk to Andy regarding Sebastian but he didn't find a chance to do so. His contact with his sister has been limited to a few calls only and Andy didn't drag Sebastian in any conversation they had which eventually made Killian think that her crush on the boy has already worn off. "What took you so long? Don't tell me you passed out doing drugs." Andy's agitated voice comes through the line, causing Killian to chuckle a little. "Why thank you. I'm totally fine. How are you doing in the fine morning? All sunshine and rainbows?" Killian asks, shoving a book in his backpack and getting ready for school. "Forget about me. How are you?" Andy's voice dramatically turns worried which tells Killian that she knows what happened in his life. "How did you know?" Killian asks, sitting on his desk, stopping whatever he was doing. "She came here to visit me." Killian stands up abrupt
"Why don't you make yourself comfortable on the bed instead? You look awfully misplaced sitting on my desk." Killian tries to lure Sebastian in, speaking in a voice that is laced with lust and desire. Sebastian doesn't dare looking at Killian. He knows he will lose the little game he is having with himself if he dares to face Killian's temptations. With little self restraint, he keeps his eyes on the paper in front of him. He is half done with the essay. Not so surprisingly, Killian is of no help. He is rather busy making himself appealing enough so that Sebastian crawls to him and acts on his whim. "Killian, either help me or leave me alone." Sebastian warns without meeting his eyes, keeping his focus solely on the paper. "Oh come on, I'm here making it easier for you." Killian debates, leaning onto the headboard of his bed. "Oh, my bad. Sometimes, I realise how ungrateful I'm not to give you credit for helping me! Your presence alone is enough for me to get done with the essay, i
"And Josh was such an ass." Sebastian goes on, sharing all of his fun moments spent with his brothers to Killian who takes up the position of an attentive listener. "What did he do other than being a rebel?" Killian asks amusingly, already feeling accustomed to Sebastian's brother as if he knew Josh before. Sebastian rolls his eyes before staring at Killian, " A lot of shit. And you know what? He blamed all of his shit on me so that he won't get published." "And you didn't get punished?" Killian asks carefully, already planning what to do with that old man if he was the reason behind Sebastian's scars. "Nope." Sebastian says rather proudly, gulping down a mouthful of ramen before continuing, " I was the golden child, after all." Killian smiles proudly at Sebastian. He deserves to boast like that. "Then I suppose Joshua was silver and the other one was bronze?" Sebastian snorts at that but nods his head eventually. Killian is loving this carefree and cheerful side of Sebastian. He
