Chapter 57
The next morning I woke up, and tried to use the bathroom when I realized that that I couldn’t walk. Damian had rendered my legs immobile.
“Damian!” I called
“Damian!” but there was no response. I groaned, and stretched my hand slowly for my phones by the lamp stand. I wanted to call my husband, when I realized that I missed 10 calls.
8 was from Zara, and 2 from my Dad.
Oh goodness!
I quickly dialed Zara. My phone had been on silence, and that was probably the reason I didn't hear it ring.
She should be in school by now. She picked up at the third beep.
