Chapter {56} Why Did you?

Dayos POV;

I spent all night thinking about Esther. Wondering why she never fights me off when I try to get close to her. Wondering how she feels when I touch or hold her. Does she want it? Or is she just scared? 

What if she's scared of me now? What if she only does the things she does out of fear? After all, she was only a timid little girl when I first met her.

My longing for her keeps intensifying with every passing day. Every morning when I watch her lazily walk about the house. When she walks with her eyes half closed to avoid loosing her sleep. The glow her tender, fair skin gives off every morning. And her messed up hair sticking out of her hair net. Like a little girl who needs a fathers help getting ready. 

I never intended to fall for her. Not when Derrick is her older brother. If wrong steps are taken, my friendship with Derrick might suffer a nasty blow. A blow I would only hope our friendship will survive.
