Overcoming Chapter Four

Once I arrived at our apartment, I quickly accumulated all of the items Emberly requested. Then ran to our room to grab my iPad so Emberly and I could look into getting the required certificates we needed to apply for a reservation at the swingers club. I walked to the kitchen and pulled two Gatorades from the refrigerator. I stopped at a restaurant to grab us some lunch, then headed back to the boutique.

"Here you go, babe, eat first, then you can work on your designs," I said as I placed the takeout bag in front of Emberly.

"Thank you, dear, I'm famished," Emberly said as she distributed the contents on the counter for us.

"I'll be right back. I need to get my iPad and your stuff from my truck," I said, and Emberly sighed as I caressed her cheek. She's so beautiful I can't stand it. I hate myself for wasting years hating her.

I walked out the door to see Brock's cousin Skylar and three other girls walking up to the shop from what looked like a brand-spanking new jeep.
