ELIZABETH. I got too lost in James and forgot we aren’t the only ones here. The house is full of people who could potentially hear our voices or barge in on us at any second. "Oh. The door is shut." James laughs, and I move my head up. "Sorry, I forgot I locked the door last night." He whispers, and I open my mouth to respond, but the voice comes again. "James? Are you in? You up yet?" The person questions, and James drops his gaze on me. "It’s Andrea." He tells me, and I frown as he moves off the bed. "I’m coming!" He calls out, and I slide back underneath the covers, listening to the ruffle of clothes, the sound of footsteps, then the click of the lock. "Hey, good morning." She greets. "Can I come in?" Oh fuck. I hold my breath as I press my hands to my stomach, careful not to make a sound as I hear James say. "Yeah, sure. Why not?" I hear the sound of the door closing, then nearing footsteps, and I shut my eyes, breathing through my nose. "You disappeared yesterday without a w
ELIZABETH. James' lips move fast against mine, and the sound of our moans fills the small space of the stall as he carries me in his arms. I thread my fingers through his curls with my other hand resting on his back, and I whimper when he squeezes my ass. When he pulls away from the kiss, I immediately press my lips to his neck, leaving small kisses across the skin before I lick his earlobe, and he groans. When I pull back to meet his eyes, his pupils are dilated, and my heart skips a beat when he parts his lips to say, "I want you." He presses into me, further confirming his statement, and I moan as I tighten my legs around his waist, encouraging him to take me the way he wants. James snatches my phone from my hand and leaves it next to his on the bench before he wraps one hand around my waist, gripping me tightly as his other hand travels up my inner thigh, and I’m thankful for the short button-down dress I have on cause he’s able to quickly find my wet core without much struggle.
ELIZABETH. My mouth falls open, and I stare at Cara without uttering a word. When I finally regain myself from the shock of her words, I stutter, "I– um. I don’t know what you’re talking about. What do you mean, James and I?" I chuckle awkwardly, and she drops her book to her lap as she leans closer to me. "I can tell." "Tell what?" I respond curtly as I look away from her sharp gaze, and I hear her chuckle. "You don’t have to deny it. I’ve watched you long enough to know you like James. I’ve seen the way you look at him when you think no one is watching." My heart is pounding in my chest as I return my eyes to Cara. Was I that obvious? She replies as if she’s reading my thoughts. "No, you were not really obvious, but it’s hard for something to escape your grasp when you’re really studying someone. It didn’t take me long to find out." I swallow, and she continues. "And I’ve seen the way James looks at you too. I think he likes you." She thinks. Oh, so she thinks James and I like eac
ELIZABETH. My eyes widen, and I push at James' shoulder, who immediately pulls his fingers from my core and moves off the couch. My heart is pounding in my chest as I pull at the edge of my skirt, my eyes meeting Andrea's, who stands by the door with big eyes. "Andrea…" I mumble, dread gripping me as she takes a step forward and her lips part. "Oh, my God. You guys were? Just now, you were?" She's unable to finish her words, and I swallow as I scramble for an explanation. "Andrea, I um–" What do I say to get out of this? She saw us. Fuck. "How long has this been going on?" Andrea asks as she stops before me, and I drop my eyes from her, not wanting to see the furious look on her face. "Well, is anyone going to answer me?" "Andrea, we should leave," James speaks, and I hear her oppose. "No, I want to know. You have to tell me. Oh my God, you two are insane…" I hold my breath, expecting a string of cusses and her threatening to reveal what she saw to our parents, but she surprises me
ELIZABETH. Tears roll down my cheeks as I watch his frame completely disappear out of sight, and I sniff, swiping the back of my palm harshly across my face to wipe my stained cheeks. I scoff as I move away from the trees back to the party, where it’s still bubbling with excited and horny teenagers. I try to find Andrea’s red hair over their heads and groan when I don’t see her. "Hey." I turn to the side, and the boy from earlier is standing next to me. Jay. "Are you okay? You don’t look so good." He comments, and I sigh. "I’m not really in the mood to talk right now." "I’d say to come back later, but I doubt I’d see you after this ends." He chuckles, and I look away from him to continue my search. When there’s no sign of Andrea, I sigh and drop my shoulders, and Jay is still beside me. My eyes move down his body, and maybe I’m just doing this to spite that image of James in my head, but I find myself opening my mouth. "Your phone?" Jay’s eyes widen, and he nods as he quickly se
ELIZABETH. "I– uh, what?" James says, and I smile as I lean forward, pressing my lips to his. The chilliness of the water mixed with his scent makes goosebumps rise on my skin, and I moan into his mouth as his tongue tangles around mine. James' hands move inside the water, and he squeezes my ass as my hands press down on his shoulders, my body shivering from the feel of his tight muscles. When we break away from the kiss, we’re both breathless, and his eyes are shimmering with anticipation. "You’re sure about this, right?" He asks, his voice deep and low, and when I nod, he grabs my hands inside the water and pulls me along as he swims back. "James!" I scowl when he splashes water at me, and he chuckles. "You got to admit, it’s fun." "Fuck you." I cuss as I splash the water back at him, and when we arrive at the end, he lifts me to the edge of the pool before he moves between my legs with his hands on my thighs, only lifting his body a bit over the surface. "Christ." He cusses as
ELIZABETH. "Home sweet home," Mom says with a big smile on her face as Gabriel turns on the lights, illuminating brightness across the living room. "Is anyone else hungry from the trip? I’ll cook something." Mom announces as she throws her handbag on the suitcase with Gabriel and strides in the direction of the kitchen. Gabriel chuckles when she’s out of sight. "And I’ll take these to our room." "Do you need help?" I ask him, and he shakes his head. "No, I can handle this. You should get some rest since you’ll be preparing for school later." "Right," I mumble and watch as he drags their suitcases and exits the room. I tighten my hold on mine as I glance around, and as I turn to the door, it opens, and James walks in with his bag in hand. Our eyes meet, and he breaks the contact, his lips pressed into a thin line as he attempts to walk past me, but I press a hand to his chest, stopping him. "James." I feel his chest falls before he turns his head to me, his eyes devoid of any emot
ELIZABETH."Hey! I thought that was your car." Janet grins as she bends to our eye level, her gaze moving next to me, and I take in her new appearance. She’s changed. Her long ginger hair is now in a shorter cut, reaching only over her shoulders, with a few strands covering her forehead in the form of a bang, but that’s not the only thing. Something about her aura seems different– I just can’t tell what."Are you not coming in?" She asks, interrupting my thoughts, and James answers. "We are. In a second.""Alright. See you guys in." She mumbles before she stands straight and walks away.I look at James in surprise. "Did she just–""Left without trying to drag us out of this car? Yeah, she just did." He completes my words with a chuckle, and I shake my head. "Seems she’s changed.""She’s not the only one." He smirks, and I watch him start to undo his seatbelt. "We’re going in?" His eyes drop back to me, and he lifts a brow. "We’re not?"When I drop my gaze to his crotch, he laughs and
