I headed down the stairs to the kitchen where Linda was, cooking up a storm as usual. Swiping a grape, I sat down and began to eat after she served me, while I wondered what I'd be doing today. Perhaps I'd hang out with Leo, the only friend I had. Thomas joined me shortly after, and as usual, it was quiet.
I heard footsteps and turned to see it was Zane, he paused for a bit on the stairs, his brows drawn close as he stared.
Thomas called for him to join us for breakfast and he unwillingly sat down on the chair, giving me a weird look, which I understood. He was surprised I was acting all cool and calm with Thomas like I didn’t lose my mind last night.
Thomas announced that we had a dinner party to attend and as usual I should dress well so I wouldn't embarrass him in public. The dress he chose was quite embarrassing too, which wasn't new. It was like wearing a club kind of gown to a business dinner party.
