She could very clearly remember every word her father said that day. He’d said, “If a man is not by his woman’s side while she is giving birth, was he still considered a man? This matter involves two lives!”

At the time, she was explaining things on Ryan’s behalf, saying that he was busy with work. After all, their daughter was born two days earlier than her expected due date, so he did not manage to arrange leave from his work in time.
