Sunday family lunch.

Chase's POV

I know I am in trouble when I see my mother's face. I should have answered my phone, I guess. I arrive at her house and do not know why she is so angry at me. I look at my father for help, but he pulls up his shoulders. I know that not even my father wants trouble with my mother. I wonder what I have done wrong this time except for not answering my phone. I know she always calls to ensure I will be here for lunch every Sunday.

"Why didn't you answer your phone?" My mother asks.

"Mom always calls to invite me to lunch every Sunday and remind me to come. I did not think it was necessary to answer. I know how mom is. Mom just wanted to remind me to come," I say.

"I did not want you to come. That is why I called you. I am having other guests over. But since you are here, you might as well stay," My mother snarls.

"Wow, who is more important than me? I thought I was your only son," I say.

belinda is so hard on him. maybe if she sat n talked like an adult instead of acting like. chold and having tantrums to get her point across this book would b easier to read. however still loving it and Sarah must b gutted. brilliant
