Chapter 17: Heiji Back Off

Ryker's POV

"What? We can take action against that. Claire wasn't drunk when that happened, and you didn't make her, so you can't be charged with r-pe. You will win this case."

Daniel and I sat on a bar stool at the resort where he and Russell stayed. Daniel said Russell was tired and sleeping when he left her in their cabin. I went there so I could talk to someone. It's because Claire doesn't want to get engaged to me. He doesn't want to marry me because she just said she would care for her father and wouldn't say bad things about me anymore.

"Damn it!" I drank what was in my glass, and the bartender filled it up again. "It's annoying because I feel like a woman chasing her after what happened."

Daniel chuckled. "So that's how women feel when we suddenly leave them after we've tasted them. Damn, it seemed hard."
