Mr. King’s pov

None once in three years have I seen Aurora tremble in fear the way she did today, from her kidnapping to the fire till her accident not once did I see her make this face.

Holding on to her as I listened to her heart beat, I was so loud the anyone around could hear it beat so fast.

She has been overly anxious since she returned from Max’s place with those bruises all over her and seeing her almost had a panic attack made more curious and wants nothing more than to find out what happened.

I held her tight and pulled her face up to mine as i flipped her hair behind her ears.

“You are safe now” I whispered into her ears and kissed her by the side and held on to her.

I signaled Mark to check who was at the door.

Mark walked toward the door and checked through the monitor then breathed a sigh of relief and gave Mr. King and everyone else a signal to let them know they were safe but are they?.
