Lian's POV

"Cover the Princess!" A soldier yelled as an arrow flew past the side of my face.

"Go low!" Noel screamed and I bent while the horse sped off. Right behind me was Noel.

Suddenly, the sound of his horse's hooves ceased and just as I turned around. A loud cry tore through the woods.

"Noel!" I yelled in horror as Noel tumbled down his horse bleeding profusely with an arrow buried in his chest.

Shit! Noel took the hit for me. With the speed of light, I jumped down from my horse and squatted beside him.

Soldiers circled us in formation all aiming wide.

"Noel! Stay with me!" I yelled as his eyes began to flutter.

"Logan! Noel was hit by an arrow. Return now," I mind linked Logan, I was shaking violently and I knew I was barely audible.
