I can hear the struggle in the woods between Onyx and whoever was watching us. Branches snap, and then Onyx approaches the steps once again with the stranger in tow. “Tell her.” Onyx demands the man. “Alpha Leo has hired me to follow you. He wants me to report back your every move to him.” I am instantly terrified of what this man has just stated. “What have you told him thus far?” I demand. “Only that you were brought into this cabin, and you slipped and fell on the way to the main building, forcing the Alpha to catch you.” “What are you telling him next?” Onyx questions him. “Nothing if you let me live. I will simply disappear, and you will never see me again. Nor will he.” He promises. “How do we know you are telling the truth?” I ask. “I have no ties to him, he is barely paying me, and I think it is rather creepy that a father wishes a strange man to watch his daughter.
