I sit in a chair under a tree to hear Matt tell me his story. “You have to understand that when I was little, we were not part of Execution Bay.” “I thought you were born and raised within the pack.” “Well, I was Born in the pack territory when we were members, and I was also raised there when we moved back into the territory. My parents were both Gammas. When I was nine years old and lived in a different territory, my father was offered the position of Beta to a very malicious Alpha. He forced my father to do evil things to everyone. Including rejecting my mother after thirteen years of being mated together because she was of a lesser rank than he was.” He stops speaking as Onyx approaches and sits next to me. “The Alpha forced my mother to give my father time with me. My disdain for my father’s new position brought the Alpha down on me more than I ever thought possible.

He forced me to do intense physical labor when I was not in school.
