Joseph’s POV

As soon as my arms wrapped around her, it was like a dam had broken inside of her. All the fears, the pain, the emotions she had felt throughout these last couple of weeks came pouring out of her.

Tessa sobbed in my arms, burying her face in my chest; her entire body shook as she cried and her hold on me tightened. I breathed her in, basking in her scent and allowing it to calm my wound-up body. I was still in shock that she was in my arms again.

I buried my face in the nape of her neck, breathing her in.
