We arrived at the uncompleted building which the lady bartender had told us about, completely exhausted and tired.
"Finally." I said, as I collapsed on the stony and dusty floor of the building.
Garry, who had been quiet throughout our walk, sat down without saying anything.
I stared at him sympathetically, I couldn't imagine how he was feeling at that moment.
I really wanted to help him out, probably tell him that everything was going to be okay, but I couldn't because I doubted it myself. I couldn't see any possible way in which things would turn out fine for Garry; he had murdered someone in broad daylight with quite a number of spectators around.
I sighed in frustration and untied the large scarf which the lady bartender had given to Garry and I. I laid the large scarf on the flo
Thank you so much for reading my book and for supporting me. I'm really grateful.♥️♥️♥️
"That's true, she said she'd be here by nightfall..." I said. "This is past midnight." Garry added. "I hope she's okay?" "She should be." I said, reassuringly. "No one saw us talking to her, so she should be perfectly fine." "How can we be so sure of that? What of if she was somehow caught?" He asked, worriedly. "Calm down, I bet she's fine. She is probably cut up in one or two things she's doing, she'd be here in no time." Garry began pacing the building, breathing heavily and sweating profusely despite the cold weather. "Garry, relax." I said. "No, we have to find her." He said. "Wait, you mean you want to go back to the bar where everyone's in search of you." I said. "I have no choice, but I understand
What the hell is going on? I wondered. "What is Maribel and Maxwell doing here?" I took a better look at them and then I noticed that Maribel was at the centre of everyone and was talking....almost like she was instructing them. I stared at the strong and fierce faces of the people gathered around Maribel and I couldn't quite understand what was going on. As I stared at the armed crowd, I felt a gun behind my head. "Move and I'll end you." I heard a voice say. I stayed on the floor without moving an inch as I felt completely paralysed. "Please!". I managed to utter. I was dragged up with force and before me was a seven foot tall man with a scary tattoo on his forehead and several scars on his face. "Please, don't hurt..." "Shut y
They all began to move out, cheering excitedly. "Halt!" Maribel ordered. "We have to be silent. Remember, the plan is to attack them using the element of surprise, that way they would have no chance to retaliate." It all felt like a horror movie and I was stuck in the middle of it. Maribel kept to her word as three men were left behind. "Keep her safe." She said to them before she hurried after the rest. "Follow me!" One of them ordered as they walked back into the building. I had no option than to follow them as they were armed and looked scary enough to frighten me. We walked back to the building but I didn't stay close to them as i didn't trust them one bit. I walked over t
I ran as fast as my legs could take me as I was well aware that soon enough, the three men would realise that I was absent and would come hunting for me and from what I had observed from the fight, it was clear to me that they were very violent. The cold wind brushed through my hair and gave me cold feet. I was able to find my way through the dark path of the woods due to the moon light which found its way through the large canopies of the forest trees. After few minutes, I heard a gunshot behind me and loud yelling from the direction of the building. It was definitely the three men who Maribel had instructed to protect me. They must have noticed my absence during their stupid fight and were coming after me, now. "Hurry." I said to myself as I increased my speed despite my hurting leg.
We hurried out of the car and crouched down on the floor, to avoid being seen by the so-called purgers. "We have to get in there fast before they get to Chris and Brianna." I said in panic. "Exactly... that's why I'd have to go alone." He said, as he surveyed the compound. "So, what do I have to do?" I asked. He looked away from the compound and straight into my scared eyes. "Stay inside the car and stay safe." "That's all?" I asked. "Yes." He began to move then he stopped and looked back at me. "Don't leave the car unless if you're under direct attack. If not, stay there...I'd come for you." I nodded my head hesitantly. "Do you understand me?" He asked in a firm voice. "Yes, I understand." He came back and embraced me. "Be safe,
CHAPTER FIFTY: END OF PART ONE Two minutes into the fight and I was already bleeding from my fore head. "I gave you an opportunity to be a part of something marvelous as my uprising but you tossed it away." Maribel said as she toyed with her sword. The pain from my leg had become unbearably painful and I was left with only one functional leg. I rose up shakily from the ground where I had been thrown violently to by Maribel.
PART TWO: CHAPTER FIFTY ONE Lord Jordan Saints POV I walked out to the wide and beautiful garden and watched as the soothing snow fell upon the white flowers. The frosty morning breeze blew past my long blonde hair as I caught some snowflakes falling from the grey and cloudless sky. It seemed like the perfect Christmas morning until I heard my mother scream. My heart jumped as I raced out of the garden. I followed her voic
HILLARY'S POVI ran into the castle building with Brianna trailing behind me."Chris!" I yelled. "Chris!""He should be at the council room." Brianna said."Where is that?" I asked as I bent down a little to catch my breath."I heard from a maid that it's on this floor." Brianna said."That doesn't help at all, as it would take us weeks to cover this whole floor." I said in disappointment.
