I first officially met Nathan in the election of the class monitor after entering the school.

Actually, I had seen him a few times before that.

Even though he was wearing ordinary clothes, his back was always straight. I could easily see him in the crowd at the first glance.

It was at the time when he was elected as the class monitor that I found out that he had been rejected by his dream university, which was a top university in the country, because he was three points short. Unfortunately for him, he became my classmate.

At last, he was elected as the class monitor with a unanimous vote, and I became a normal student.

It was the first time in the programming class that I had seen the enormous gap between him and me.

When I was still confused by the pile of new concepts, he had already been able to write codes skillfully. In less than 20 minutes, he finished three computer testing questions and got full marks of 300.
