I had voluntarily agreed to Arabella's request to keep our relationship a secret from Dallas. I knew the man well because we had been friends for a long time, and I still remembered certain moments when Dallas went to extremes due to his bubbling emotions.

"Wasn't that too much?" I asked as we headed towards the café, following Dallas' desire to work on the campus organization's monthly project while calming himself down.

Dallas snorted. "No, it wasn't. They must be hardened like that so they never think our organization's project is a joke. How dare he say he has other things to do when this meeting was planned a week ago."
