Unexpected Busyness

Arabella's Pov

"Ah, it's so crowded. Damn it!" Mel cursed when she was already at the back while I went forward to take her place.

A sea of people seemed to be invading our cafe. I took a breath near the cashier while looking for the table number to which I was going to deliver the order, then sneaked in between the customers and my colleagues who were also delivering or moving dirty dishes.

"Hey, you over there, one extra lemonade and fries please!" One of the customers yelled at me. I hurriedly took notes, answered back and handed them to the kitchen.

Ty was sweating, staring blankly at the order paper I'd added. "Shit." The male colleague just laughed sadly while arranging the order, while I gave Ty support by patting his back. I quickly accepted the finished order and went back to delivering the food.

Today was the busiest day I'd ever had. Mel said that this had become a habit on weekends. There were a lot of people who came to this cafe to find entertainment that was worth it.
