My nephew sleeps peacefully in his car seat in the back seat, oblivious to his father's attitudes, and that makes me more protective. Covered in Courageous and determined not to make things easy, I try to distract Peter to discover our destination. He doesn't make it easy and gives me evasive answers.

"Aurora didn't faint, did she?" I ask Peter the question, but I observe my sister's pale and sleeping face.

He looks at me in the rearview mirror and keeps silent, keeping the gun in one of his hands as he drives at speed.
