Acknowledging

Damien caressed Eva's cheek softly. She is looking at him with a shocked expression. He understood that she might not have thought from this angle. 

"I am sure your intention is pure. You wanted to keep me and Matt safe. That's why you are trying to go away from us. You are thinking that your presence is the reason why we are facing problems. You are right to assume that it's because of you. To a certain point, it is correct" Damien stopped. 

He looked at Eva's face, where he can find hurt and sadness. She is not expecting him to accept that she is the reason for his troubles.

Eva is feeling extremely sad. It is different that she kept thinking that she is a bad omen. But she never thought Damien would agree to that point as well. His words stung and she tried hard not to let her sadness roll down her cheeks in the form of tears. She looked away from him. It is difficult to avoid him because she is practically sitting on his lap.
