"Ouch..."
Eva hissed with pain. Blood is oozing from her index finger, as the thorn from the rose stems she is holding grazed her finger accidentally.
"What happened?" Matt asked with a concerned frown. He is unloading the flower bundles from the delivery truck they just received.
"Nothing" Eva tried to brush it off. But Matt is too attentive to let it go easily. He gently placed the red rose bundle on the table and walked towards his sister. Eva tried to hide her hand, but he already noticed the drop of blood that dripped from her finger onto the glass counter.
"Sis, hiding your palm doesn't reduce the pain. Here, let me clean it up for you" he said, before retrieving a first aid kit from a drawer.
Eva sighed and let her brother clean the wound, before dressing it up with a band-aid.
"Nowadays you are distracted" he said softly.
