What Tessa didn't know was that I was hurting too.

She thought that she was the only person who got hurt when I rejected her that day several years ago.

When I rejected her, Tyler almost killed us because he was ready to mate with his mate.

He refused to talk to me for a whole year. One whole year!

Imagine that.

Your own wolf refusing to emerge it talk to you for a goddess damned whole year.

It took me a lot of convincing and sweet talking for him to reemerge.

I had to promise him that we would be visiting Tessa every now and then.

But I convinced myself that I had to do it.

Tessa was thirteen. A child and I was seventeen. An adult in the werewolf world. See that?

If I stayed with her, Tyler would have demanded we mate and I mark her but I couldn't.

She was way too young and the bond wouldn't have worked because she was yet to become of age.
