I sat down quietly as he made a call and asked someone to come over. I just prayed hard that it was not Skye. I would be so embarrassed if she found me looking like that.

Luckily, it was Birdie who came in. “Boss, you had something for me?“ He asked.

Xin grunted in reply. “Yeah, help Isabel prepare her schedule. She will be working the extra twenty hours,” he said.

Birdie looked at me with a smile. “I am glad that you decided not to resign,” he said. But he stopped when he saw my face. He must have realized that I had been crying.

He looked at Xin and swallowed hard. “Okay, boss. I will do it,” he said, gesturing for me to follow him.

At first, I was scared that if I went out, my colleagues would see me and make fun of me. But it seemed like Birdie really understood me.

He led me to his office, which was just next to the president's. I was glad that I did not run into anyone on the way.
