Ch81: You can't go in

On Wednesday morning, my heart felt heavy as we waited for the school bus. What if it was the last time I saw my son?

I bent down to his level and looked into his eyes. “Baby, mommy wants to tell you something,” I said.

Little Lion nodded his head. “Go ahead, Big Yan. I'm listening,” he said. After the event at school, I talked to him, and he wasn't mad at me anymore.

“Um, I want you to know that mommy loves you a lot,” I said, struggling to sound normal. I didn't want to sound like I was selling him out.

Little Lion pursed his lips, looking at me. “Did something happen?“ He asked. Of course, he was never naive.

I smiled and kissed his cheeks. "There's nothing that I can't handle. Just know that everything is fine,” I said, pulling him into my hands. I would be so happy if I saw him in the evening.

“Mommy…” Little Lion called in a caring voice. But I smiled at him. “The bus is here. I'll pick you up in the evening. Don't use the bus, okay?“

Even though he looked confused, he nodded
