Alexei and Andrei continued walking inside the mall, not minding the people that has been staring at them. But Alexei was obviously pissed off, with her frowning face, everyone can tell that she was not on the mood.

Alexei was walking slowly when Andrei looked towards her direction. When Alexei noticed that Andrei was looking, she raised her left eyebrows.

“Why is your face like that?” Andrei asked while creasing his forehead.

“What’s wrong with my face?” instead of answering, Alexei asked back before rolling her eyes.

“Why are you frowning?” Andrei asked.

“Can’t you see? All these people are staring at us,” Alexei said scornfully.

Andrei looked at his surrounding and notice that what Alexei said was true; people are staring at them.

“Uhh,” Andrei shyly muttered, “just don’t mind them.”

“How can I not fucking mind them when after they stare at you, they will look at me as if I did something wrong or illegal,” Alexei answered, obviously pissed. She stopped walking, so does Andrei. They just stare at each other, not minding the people that’s been obviously staring at them.

Andrei shook his head before walking closely towards Alexei. He put his arms on Alexei’s shoulder.

“Don’t mind them,” Andrei whispered on Alexei’s ear, “just walk.”

“I look like your fucking maid,” Alexei whispered back.

“You look too fine to look like a maid,”

Alexei just rolled her eyes put let Andrei to put his arms around her. They continue walking silently, not minding anyone.

They arrived on a restaurant, a lady on her 20s approach them, “Good day, mister Buenaventura, nice seeing you here again,” the lady smiled at Andrei.

“Good day, gut us a table for 2,” Andrei greeted back. The lady looked at Alexei from head to toe.

Alexei raised her eyebrow because she wasn’t liking the way the lady looked at her. The lady cleared her throat before looking at Andrei again, “This way, Sir,”

The lady, who Alexei later on knew the surname that is Ms. Cortez, assisted them on a table for 2 that was located on the second floor of the restaurant, beside the glass window.

“Thank you,” Andrei said, Ms. Cortez bowed her head to Andrei and looked at Alexei before bowing also. Ms. Cortez leave them, then a few minutes later, a waiter approached them and give them the menu.

The waiter stood beside Andrei, who later on looked at her, “What do you want to order?”

“Anything,” Alexei said who doesn’t know anything about the restaurant and what they serve and she was lazy to check the menu.

Andrei talked to the waiter and gave his order list. The waiter nod, as he listed everything that Andrei said.

After few minutes of talking, the waiter leaves their table and asked them to wait for 8 minutes.

“So, how are you?” Andre asked as they wait for the foods that he ordered.

“I guess I’m fine, how about you?” Alexei answered casually, uncertain with her answer.

“I’m also fine, why does it take you so long to visit here again?” Andrei asked again. He placed his hands on the table and look directly on Alexei.

Alexei let out a soft laugh, “why? Are you waiting for me?” she jokingly said but she became a little bit uncomfortable by how Andrei stare at her with seriousness.

“Why?” Alexei asked when Andrei didn’t answer.

“What if…” Andrei said as he rested his head on his hands, “…what if I did wait for you?”

Alexei wasn’t expecting that kind of question so she doesn’t know what to say or what to react.

“I-I---”

She was trying to find a word when a waiter with a cart approached them and put their foods on the table.

Infront of Alexei, the waiter put a spicy stewed chicken legs and breast and a vegetable salad while they put a medium rare steak in front of Andrei.

Both of them started to eat. Alexei was minding her own food when Andrei spoke.

“So, what is the reason why you suddenly visited here?” Andrei asked.

Alexei drank water and cleared her throat before answering, “I am here for good, not just to visit,” she said then looked at Andrei for a second before she ate again.

“For good? Why?” Andrei, who was obviously confused, asked.

“I thought you waited for me? Why are you asking that as if you don’t want me to stay here,” Alexei sarcastically said.

“I really did wait for you,” Andrei said, “but I was wondering what happened for you to decide on staying here for good,” he said, very sure that something happened on Alexei’s hometown.

“It’s none of your business,” Alexei coldly said and focused herself on the food in front her. For a while, she thought that she was fine but one question made her act as her old self; the cold-hearted Alexei.

And she was hating it. Andrei has nothing to do with anything that caused her hatred towards everything so she doesn’t want to act rude in front of him but every time she remembered how her life turned upside down and how his father was unable to save them, she can’t help but to be heartless again just to numb the pain.

“I knew how hard it is,” Andre spoke, causing Alexei to look at him, “you can always come to me and I’ll be your shoulder to lean on. Just like when we were kids,” Andrei smiled, assuring Alexei.

For a second, there is a sudden urge that Alexei felt that caused her wanting to cry. She can’t hardly remember when was the last time someone gave her an assurance and a shoulder to lean on, it was as if she was waiting for someone before she could let out all the pain.

She smiled but she didn’t utter a word and the both of them continue eating silently.

After a few minutes, they finished eating.

“Is there a place you want to visit?” Andrei asked.

Alexei tried to think of a place but she couldn’t think of any because she wasn’t familiar and she doesn’t know any place that they can visit.

“There is an amusement park that was opened a few months ago. Do you want to visit?” Andrei suggested.

Alexei wanted to go. She can’t remember how long it was when she last went to an amusement park.

She was about to agreed on Andrei’s suggestion when she realized that she’s not wearing proper clothes.

Alexei frowned, “I’d loved to. But I don’t want to go to any place while wearing this,”

“Come on,” Andrei said, trying to think of anything just to make Alexei agreed, “my treat.”

Alexei just shook her head and rested her back on the chair.

“Okay, I’ll buy you clothes,” Andrei said, on a tone as if he was being defeated on a game.

“Really?” Alexei asked while smiling.

Andrei just rolled his eyes before nodding.

Alexei stood up, “Come on, what are you waiting for? Let’s go!”

Andrei smiled, he left a money as a payment on the table before standing up and going out of the restaurant.

They went on a girl’s boutique where Alexei can freely choose any types of clothes she wants.

Alexei was busy finding clothes while Andrei was following her.

“What are you looking for?” Andrei asked.

“I’m finding something comfortable to wear,” Alexei answered while she was looking on the tops section.

She saw a maroon cropped top. She gets it and show to Andrei, “What do you think?”

Andrei nodded, “It looks good,”

“Okay, I’ll take this,” Alexei said then she goes on the pants section.

She saw a black wide legged pants and immediately decided that it will look good with the crop top so she gets it on the rack.

She looked at Andrei for a second before proceeding on the shoes section.

She saw a kitten heel sandals and a flat ankle strap sandal. She can’t decide what to wear so she faced Andrei again.

“What should I wear?” she asked, raising the kitten heal sandal on her left hand and the flat ankle strap sandal on the right.

“Hmm…” Andrei said and looked at the both sandals, “I think you should wear this one,” Andrei said and pointed on the flat ankle strap.

“I think it is more ideal to wear a flat type of shoes when you are going to visit an amusement park,” he added.

Alexei nodded then she putted back the kitten heal sandal on the rack.

Alexei called a sales lady and showed the clothes and sandals she will going to buy, “We’ll pay for this and I’m going to wear it now, where is your fitting area?”

The sales lady checked the tag of the clothes before pointing on the right side of the boutique.

Alexei left Andrei with the sales lady and went to the fitting area.

She wears everything and when she goes out, she asked for a paper bag where she can put the clothes she removed.

She looked for Andrei who she later on saw on the counter near the exit of the boutique.

“I’m done. Let’s go,” Alexei said while smiling. Andrei smiled back and they go to the parking lot where he parked his car. He opened the door again for Alexei before he proceeded on the driver seat.

After a 30-minute drive, they arrived on the amusement park.

Andrei paid for the entrance ticket before they go inside.

“Where should we go first?” Andrei asked.

“Why are you asking me? It is my first time here so basically, I don’t know where can we go,” Alexei answered.

Andrei just shook his head before walking. They first went on the roller coaster and both of them obviously enjoyed the ride. Then they try on every ride that they saw.

The day went on fast; they were both laughing whenever they finished a ride. Alexei was obviously happy and Andrei felt the same too.

They noticed that there were only a few people at the amusement park unlike earlier.

“Do you want to go on the ferris wheel?” Andrei asked.

Alexei gladly nodded her head so they went to a ride.

They where on the top of the ferris wheel and they can saw different colored lights of the amusement park. They can also saw the city lights.

“Did you enjoy the day?” Andrei asked, looking deeply at Alexei who was busy looking at the lights below them.

Alexei nodded before looking on Andrei.

“I really enjoyed it. I can’t hardly remember when was the last time I really did enjoy something,” Alexei said it with a sincerity on her voice.

“I’m glad I made you happy,” Andrei said with a smile on his face.

“Thank you,” she muttered.

They both smiled at each other and went silent after. They were both enjoying the view and no one dares to break the silent as they were both comfortable and enjoying it.

On Alexei’s mind, she wished that the day like this won’t end but she didn’t have an idea that after this, her life will completely turn upside down. Alexei and Andrei continued walking inside the mall, not minding the people that has been staring at them.
