Chapter 64: Tragic

Greg's POV

"We are here at the hospital. It is Gracelyn. Oh my Gracelyn."

Rebecca, my mother in law mumbled. I don't quite understand some of her mumbling. All I know is they're here and something happened to Gracelyn.

I went to the emergency and there I saw my fiancee lying on the stretcher.

"I got this. You should head back to what you are doing." Linda, one of my colleague said and tap my shoulder.

I have a surgery in the next hour and I need to prepare for it but how? My head is a mess and I don't know what to do with Gracelyn lying on the emergency with our baby at risk.

I scratched the back of my head and went to our head's office. I explained everything to him and thankfully he understand and volunteer to do the surgery himself and allow me to take an emergency leave.

"What happened?" I asked Rebecca.

"We are sitting together and chatting when she stand up to urinate. Then suddenly she said that her tummy hurts. Then minute later she passed out." Mom is sobbing furiously.
