My ears reached their breaking point, unable to bear another word. I stood my ground, refusing to yield to their demands. I declared that I would not apologize to this woman, for I am not at fault. I firmly believe I have done nothing to be sorry for. They cannot bully me into agreeing to something I did not do. I will not apologize, and that is my final decision.

"What did you just say?" He questioned, but his words felt more like a threat. Despite this, I refused to let it affect me. "You heard me right, dear husband. Since our marriage is merely a facade and you have no qualms admitting it in front of others, you shouldn't be so bothered. After all, we are only together for the sake of the children."

He appeared utterly dumbfounded, as if he couldn't fathom that those words came from me. Honestly, I couldn't believe it myself. I don't know where this courage has come from. Perhaps it's the way she stares at me with a smug grin on her face, or the audacity with which she shamelessly
