*Adithya Pov* I woke up yawning hearing the alarm and saw that it is raining outside. And the cool air is filled inside the room, making Janice snuggle more into me. I want to sleep like this and not move at all, but today I am sure duty will be more as there will be few problems erupting because of the rain. “Janice!” I said, shaking her. “Don’t move! I am feeling cold.” she said not allowing me to move away. “We will get late.” I said yawning more. “You must be dreaming. How can the climate be cold in the morning? I am sure it is still midnight.” she said, but didn’t open her eyes. I chuckled hearing her and immediately pinched her waist like yesterday making her eyes open up in a second with a glare. “Why do you keep on doing that?” she asked, yawning and looked at the clock. “Your waist is cute.” I replied, and we both fell into silence with the awkwardness. “Go and get ready.” She mumbled. I nodded and immediately got up from the bed hoping she didn’t mind the comment.
*Janice Pov* “I will bring some water.” I said, getting up from the lawn where everyone is sitting after the dinner. When I pour them into few glasses and placed them on the tray, I felt him standing behind me. “Let me help you.” He said, placing his hands on the tray from behind me itself. I slapped his arms away and held it in my hands. I turned around to see him staring at me with a raised eyebrow. “I am unable to talk to both of our parents looking into their eyes.” That’s all I said walking away from him. Surprisingly, both our parents started conversing with each other, and that’s a relief for me. I walked back towards Bhai and Abby where Adithya’s friends are also sitting. “Why is he looking at you?” Rani asked in a whisper, making me look at him sitting beside Bhai and like she said he is staring at me. “Nothing!” I replied, smiling and then he placed a plate with cake in it in front of me. “Rani! See he brought a cake piece for you.” I said smiling at her. “He is so
*David Pov* I entered our room and threw the necktie on the floor along with the briefcase. I brushed my hair feeling nothing but irritation. “What happened to you now?” Parul asked, and I looked up to see her rolling her eyes and typing on her laptop. “Is that how you ask and what you do when you see the person you love is sad or even irritated?” I asked shouting at her. “What else should I do to the person who comes home late?” she asked shrugging. “Why is it bothering you? I came early for one month in the beginning, but you are always busy so why should I come home early?” I asked her back. “Why are you shouting at me? I don’t care when you come home. It is your choice, and it’s not like you will learn what you should be with the person you love now.” She replied. “What is wrong with you Parul? Why can’t you behave like some at least a girlfriend and take care of me or have some care for me?” I asked sitting in front of her. “I can ask the same question David. You don’t ca
\*Janice Pov* “Let’s go somewhere today.” Adithya said as I am standing in front of the mirror and brushing my hair. “Today is Sunday, Adithya.” I said, turning towards him. “And?” he asked, frowning. “I go to my parent's home.” I replied smiling. “Just miss for today.” He said shrugging getting down from the bed. “I actually go to church right.” I said and then his eyes widened a little. “I forgot about it. I will also come with you.” He said taking out his dress. “Are you sure?” I asked him frowning. “Yeah!” He replied confidently and after a few minutes, I understood that he is serious. “Ok! Let us go there directly, and I will inform my family that they need not to wait for me.” I said and called Bhai but didn’t say anything about Adithya coming with me. We both reached the church and went inside to meet my family already there in the fifth row. I gestured him to follow me and we both calmly sat beside them. “Janice! What is he…” Dad started to ask. “Shh Dad! Don’t ta
*Adithya Pov* “What is happening here?” I asked Rajeev getting down from my bike. “I don’t know but some two cars got hit by each other. Even though no one is hurt a guy in one car has lost his temper towards the girl in another car." He explained. “I will go and see to it, but first you go and search where is that traffic police who is supposed to take care of this situation.” I said, and he nodded walking away. I walked towards the crowd and reached near the cars with the crowd parting themselves seeing me. Then I heard the man cursing the girl. How can he do that? I thought and walked towards the man. “No matter whose mistake it is you can’t curse a girl like that.” I said and he immediately looked at me. “But see what she did, sir. She was coming with over speed, which is a wrong thing.” He said and then I saw that his car is little damaged. “Excuse me, miss?” I called as she is with her back towards us calling someone. She turned and looked straight at me shocked with te
*Janice Pov* “I think that’s all for today. Don’t forget to revise once again at home.” I said, closing the book and they all nodded before getting up to leave. “Janice! Are you ready? All our colleagues must already leave for the conference hall.” Maam said walking outside the class beside mine. “Let’s go Maam and don’t panic. There is so much time.” I said smiling. “You need not to call me Maam, Janice. We are colleagues so call me by my name.” She said like every day. “I will try.” I said, smiling and entered the hall in which only few people are present. “What is the deal to have this meeting today?” Maam asked. “We have to wait and see I guess.” I replied and took our place at the corner. After a few minutes the hall filled with the lectures and then, the Principal entered holding few files. “Is he going to remove us from the job or what?” Maam asked again. “I don’t know, but I hope not.” I replied. “I am sure you all must be waiting to know what the matter is to call
*Janice Pov* “So you will return in the evening?” I asked him brushing my hair. “Yeah! My bus will leave in the afternoon.” He replied and I sighed, looking at my phone, which is in loudspeaker mode. “Ok!” I said, taking the phone into my hands. “Bye!” he said, and I said back before hanging up the phone. It’s been four days since he left, but he calls me everyday in the morning and in the evening. Today he is going to return, and I smiled at the news. I went outside the room to see Aunty and Uncle waiting for me. I became so close to these two in these four days and they too, like me now, which is important to me, but I wish Dad and Mom will also become close to Adithya like this. I left the house and took a bus rushing towards the stop as I am really getting late with all the little talks I had with his parents. In the morning classes, I kept on thinking what should I say when he returns home? Should I say that I miss him or should I keep quiet? Should I ask him about his
*Adithya Pov* “I heard that there is some strike today.” She said while brushing her hair. “Yes! But we don’t know whether it is a serious strike or a calm strike.” I said, folding the newspaper. “I think even colleges may get a holiday.” She said, frowning and turned towards me. “Is there a holiday?” I asked her confused because she is getting ready right for college itself right. “I don’t think at present there is any but if the strike is even little more than a calm one there can be one at any time of the day.” She replied. “If you get a holiday, why don’t we both go to your home?” I suggested thinking it would be good for us to spend some more time together and also to be liked by her family. “Sure! That is a really good idea.” She said smiling. “By the way, that is my house and this is my home.” She added, and I smiled shaking my head. “Let’s go!” I said dragging her outside the room. “Just give me a call, and I will come here. From here, we will go to your house.” I sa
